The workshop simulates processes of occupation of the urban territory and try to materialize them in architectural maquettes, working at the same time on the digital diagram and on the physical proto-model.
As it happens in urban environments, these proto-architectures emerge through cycles of accumulation and negotiation; physical models act as analogue computer, adapting continuously their morphology to the new forces acting on them.
The construction process runs through ten shifts of digital design, physical modelling and group discussion. Ten groups of student work on ten different maquettes on shifts of three hours; at the end of each turn models are passed to the next group in a production line system. No design is preconceived, models unfold shift by shift through processes of negotiation and accumulation implemented constantly by the groups.
